Nethergate is a re-telling of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan set within a group of young runaways living together on the streets of Dundee.  

 

When Wendy is kicked out of home on her 16th birthday and fails to find anywhere safe to turn to, she is kidnapped by The Group and swept up into the fold. The Group, led by a charismatic but ultimately deeply controlling and manipulative boy, Peter, exist in a world of lawless misadventure. For many of them, this is their first experience with petty crime and - as they are taught to fly - drugs. Constantly battling the cold, exhaustion and hunger, they soon realise the abuse and violence they faced at home is now replaced by new threats on the streets. All they have to rely on for any kind of comfort and protection is each other.
